nuncium e latina lingua: knowing Latin pays off

She was able to send out the news once she heard the announcement read in Latin. In this case, Latin was extremely useful for getting the scoop.
Now I wonder: under what other circumstances would knowing Latin help a reporter break a story? I'm thinking right now....
